Alonissos is a scuba divers heaven!! Diving and hovering in Alonissos‘ deep blue is a fabulous experience not to be missed while visiting the island.
Albedo Travel organizes this experience giving emphasis on security and on respecting the natural environment. All levels welcome…. from the absolute beginner who has never been scuba diving before to more experienced divers who want to further their training and gain the level of assistant instructor. All dives are supervised and offered by the shores of Alonissos as well as to the nearby islands. Instruction is offered in Greek, English and German.

DIVES

1.

Introductory dive: |
| Intended for those wishing to live their first diving experience without having attended any previous course.This dive is always executed under the trainer’s supervision, control and responsibility in depths ranging from 1.5 to 5 meters. | |

Check dive: |
| Intended for anyone wishing to dive with us, so that we can have a rough image of their skill level, thus avoiding eventual future problems as well as protecting the delicate balance of the underwater environment.Scuba divers who have not been active during the last 6 months and cannot prove their experience based on a dive diary must attend a course when such is necessary for their own personal safety. | |

Guided dive: |
| Intended for scuba divers of any level of skill who wish to dive safely under supervision, either individually or in groups. Dive by the seashores of Alonissos, transporting you to the nearby deserted islands by our own inflated motorboat. We can rent equipment to the licensed scuba divers who do not dispose of their own equipment and wish to dive using our diving center. |

| The first level in dive education, with an emphasis on safety and problem solution under the water and at the sea surface.The student shall follow theory in physics, physiology, dive medicine, as well as with diving planning and use of decompression tables. They will accomplish skills like moving efficiently through the water and handling scuba equipment.Our goal is to dive to depths 8 – 25m safely, always under the supervision of a qualified instructor and after having succeeded the exams.Duration: 5-7 days. | |

CMAS/IDA 2** |
| The candidate must have successfully completed 1* CMAS, or an equivalent level of the international confederation recognized by CMAS. The course shall consist of a thorough examination of diving theory with further chapters in physiology, dive medicine, decompression tables, planning, rescuing and underwater orientation. It comprises 6 dives in 12 – 25 m, with a safety limit of 30 meters.On completion the candidate will be qualified for diving with a fellow scuba diver of the same or a superior skill level, without the direct supervision of an instructor or a dive leader.Duration: 5 days | |

CMAS/IDA 3*** (DIVE LEADER) |
| This is the highest distinction in diving, corresponding with the students’ increased experience. The course shall prepare the students to deal with underwater problems’ solution, to have the full responsibility of the organization of dives expanding their knowledge.Dive leader course prepares the candidates to be able to lead their team safely in the underwater world and shall be in position to take the correct decisions. This skill demands an excellent theoretical and practical training, as well as experience.To attend the course the candidate must have executed 50 dives, successfully passed the test and attended courses of underwater navigation and rescuing.Duration: The course’s duration is of approximately 14 days and it is the first step to become a dive professional. | |

| To participate in the rescue course students must hold a first aid certification (medical first aid). In case they do not hold such a certification trained instructors can offer it on the island.In this level the diver is taught rescue methods and first aid both for himself and for other divers. The course comprises of theory, including a final written exam, practical skill sessions and rescue scenarios which the student diver must handle adequately.Duration: 3-5 days | |
